Phoenix Guard Part 1

 
As discussed last week I want to try a quick High elf model to see if it reignites the fire!



First of all I built up a small base using cork plates:

 

 I then used milliput to turn the cork into more of a rock and hide the edges of the cork tiles..

And tried to sand the back edges to clean them up..

 

Finally the model is undercoated, but hand this time, Hopefully this gives me a bit more control and though it took a little longer than a spray can, it's not signifcant in the timescales of painting a model for me at least..

 

So that's it for this week, not as much progress as i'd hoped, but we've started and hopefully this old model I've had lying around for a while can get me back into the swing of things!
