Happy Monk Pt 7.

The waves are being filled at the moment and with a drying time of 24hrs per layer things on that end are slow and really not that interesting, but there is more to this than some waves.

Hobby 101 - What Do I Need To Start Painting?

 Last weekend I got asked "How do you get started with painting as a hobby?" My initial response was "How long do you have?" In all honesty it's not something I've ever been asked directly before - almost everyone I've spoken to about the hobby has either been in the hobby, and thus already started, or are outside the hobby and have opinions ranging from "that's cool" to "how the hell do you paint the eyes on those, they're tiny!"

With that in mind, I'm now going to try and answer the question.

The Wamp Workshop - A Great Experience

Over the August Bank Holiday, I was able to go to the Wamp Workshop, hosted at 4TK Gaming in Colchester. The Workshop was a 2 day event organised as part of my Wamp Paint Brush Kickstarter pledge.

The first day was run by Scott Hockley, AKA Iacton or The Black Hand and was focused on his techniques for working on flesh and faces, while day two was run by John Keys, AKA Megazord Man and looked at his blending from light to dark across areas of a mini.
