This was the surprise project to go on the James Wappel style base I've made (see articles part 1 and part 2) I started painting this back in october after finishing Sinzirith. It's a challenging scheme and there's a number of ways of doing it. I'm not really a huge fan of the model, I've had it since release but imo it's one of the worst 'seer' sculpts for Eldar, the angular robes don't look remotely like cloth. Hopefully *touch wood* it's the last Failcast miniature I have to paint, once again there is slippage on the staff that I tried to fix. I may do a little behind the scenes article in the next few weeks showing some WIP pictures and talking through things.

Great job on the robes, some really nice colour transitions there.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me that is amused by a finecast model making the metal finger thing?
